Inter Milan beat Parma 3-0 in the sixth round of Serie A on Saturday to move alone to the top of the table for now. Petar Sučić scored at San Siro in the 13th minute, and Hakan Çalhanoğlu converted a penalty five minutes later after Pio Esposito was fouled. Marcus Thuram made it 3-0 in the 31st minute from a Henrikh Mkhitaryan pass.

Inter, Lazio and Roma were level on points at the top before the round, and the two Rome clubs play on Sunday. "We adapted quickly to Parma, we didn't have much information on how they might play," Inter coach Cristian Chivu said.

It was Parma's first game under new coach Alberto Gilardino. "There is work to do, but that's why I'm here," he said. Parma are 16th with four points.
