Hamburger SV beat Hoffenheim 3-2 (1-1 at halftime) in the Bundesliga's fifth round on Saturday. Yussuf Poulsen put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute, before an own goal by Hamburg defender Sebastiaan Bornauw in first-half stoppage time and a goal from Bambasé Conté in the 53rd turned the game Hoffenheim's way. After Hoffenheim's Bernardo was sent off for a second yellow card in the 65th, Terem Moffi equalized late and Miro Muheim scored the winner four minutes into stoppage time. Another Hamburg goal, by Otto Stange, had been ruled out after a video review.

"We believed until the end and turned the game around," Muheim said. Poulsen praised the team's "great morale." Hamburg now have six points.

Hoffenheim have just three points from five games. "Now it is a crisis," DAZN analyst Michael Ballack said. Christian Ilzer's team plays Beşiktaş in the Europa League on Thursday.
