The UFC announced during Saturday's UFC Edmonton broadcast that UFC 336 will take place in Toronto on January 30, 2027. According to Heavy, the venue is Scotiabank Arena. It is the UFC's eighth event in the Canadian city and the first since UFC 297 in January 2024. Fans can already register for ticket presale access on ufc.com.

No bout has been officially booked yet. Heavy reports rumours of a main event between welterweight champion Islam Makhachev and Carlos Prates – this has not been confirmed. "I'm excited to partner with the Ministry of Sport and bring UFC back to Toronto," UFC president Dana White said, according to MMA Knockout (Sports Illustrated).

Ontario's Minister of Sport Brian Saunderson called sport tourism a major economic driver; the province has eliminated gate fees and cut red tape. From next year, Paramount+ will be the exclusive home of all UFC events in Canada.
