If a federal election were held on Sunday, the AfD would win 28 percent according to YouGov's new poll – one point less than in September, but still clearly the strongest party. The CDU/CSU remain at 18 percent and the Greens at 16. The SPD gains one point to 14 percent, while the Left stays at 10. That leaves the conservative Union only two points ahead of the Greens.

The FDP holds 5 percent and would thus narrowly make it into the Bundestag, while the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) loses one point and drops to 3 percent. YouGov surveyed 2,202 eligible voters online from 16 to 19 October, 1,773 of whom stated a voting intention. The institute puts the margin of error at around ±2 points for a 50 percent share and around ±0.9 points for a 5 percent share.

In INSA's poll of 17 October the AfD stood at 29, the Union at 18, the Greens at 14 and the SPD at 13 percent; the FDP and BSW each had 4 percent.
