Bulgaria international Lukas Petkov has been named player of the match in the Bundesliga for the second time this season. The right winger of promoted SV Elversberg received the award after Saturday's 4-3 win over FC Augsburg, Bulgarian daily 24 Chasa reports. Bundesliga.com also lists him as Man of the Match.

Against Augsburg, Petkov opened the scoring in the 4th minute – goalkeeper Finn Dahmen saved his penalty, but he converted the rebound. In the 89th minute he set up Frederik Schmahl for 4-2. Sofascore gave him a rating of 8.6, the best in the match.

Petkov won his first player-of-the-match award on 29 August, when he scored his first Bundesliga goal and provided an assist in a 3-2 home win over Bayer Leverkusen. After six matchdays he has two goals and three assists. Last season he helped Elversberg win promotion with 11 goals and 5 assists.
