DAZN representative Alfie Sharman sees the Fury–Joshua fight on Netflix not as a loss but as a chance to win new boxing fans for DAZN too.

DAZN’s Alfie Sharman is relaxed about Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua going out on Netflix on 11 December. Speaking to iFL TV, he said, according to MiddleEasy: “We believe in collaboration.” He expects a huge audience, some of whom could later find their way to DAZN’s boxing schedule.

According to the report, Sharman partly blamed past divisions between broadcasters for desirable fights not happening. He sees the sparring between promoter Eddie Hearn and Dana White as genuine, but also as a legitimate way to reach new fans.

According to MiddleEasy, Sharman considers DAZN’s roster and volume of boxing hard to match. Fury and Joshua meet at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
