Danish jewellery group Pandora opened a factory in Ho Chi Minh City in early October that it describes as the world's largest fine jewellery crafting facility. Pandora says it invested 150 million US dollars, increasing its manufacturing capacity by 50 per cent. When fully operational, the site is expected to employ 7,000 people and produce up to 60 million pieces a year. It is Pandora's fourth factory and its first outside Thailand.

"This gives us flexibility to craft all our collections, our assortments in all our materials and crafting techniques," chief executive Berta de Pablos-Barbier said, according to Euronews. The plant is to run entirely on renewable electricity; since 2024 Pandora says it has used only recycled gold and silver. In 2025 the company sold 112 million pieces of jewellery.

Euronews also points to risks: in August Pandora warned that US import tariffs would continue to weigh on profitability. The broadcaster also recalls past labour disputes at Pandora's Bangkok factory. The report on the new factory can be watched on the Euronews YouTube channel.
