Promoted SV Elversberg hosts FC Augsburg on Saturday (1330 GMT). Elversberg is ninth with seven points, while sixth-place Augsburg has eight points and only one loss, most recently drawing 2-2 with Bayern Munich. Elversberg's start to the season included a 3-2 win over Leverkusen and a 4-3 win at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The spotlight is on Augsburg's Robin Fellhauer, who played for Elversberg from 2019 to 2025 (178 competitive games, 17 goals, 37 assists) and recently scored the fastest goal in Bundesliga history after an error by Manuel Neuer. Asked by a child reporter, Elversberg coach Vincent Wagner said: “We'll try to kick the ball farther away than Manuel Neuer.” Fellhauer told the Saarbrücker Zeitung: “No, Nicolas Kristof doesn't make mistakes like that.”
Wagner is without Cole Campbell, who is expected to miss one to two weeks, while Onyeka and Gyamerah are doubtful. “At home we're a bit stronger still,” Wagner said. Augsburg has been coached by Manuel Baum since December 2025.
