A new line of women's lingerie and swimwear is coming to French retail under the Pierre Cardin name. It is made by licensee Textiss of Châteauneuf-du-Rhône in the Drôme department, which has held the European licence for the brand's men's underwear since 2025, FashionUnited reports. The collection comprises 37 pieces – 30 underwear and seven swimwear styles – and, according to FashionUnited, sits in the lower price segment.

The line is sold through more than 100 points of sale, partly direct and partly via a purchasing centre. “Having established Pierre Cardin in menswear, developing a women's offer was a logical next step for us,” said Nicolas Fouchet, international sales director at Textiss. Early feedback from retail partners has been “encouraging”, he said.

Textiss was founded in 2001 and belongs to the holding company Texco Groupe of founder Sylvain Caire. It runs its own brands such as Freegun and Capslab, holds licences for Pierre Cardin, Von Dutch and Umbro and manufactures private labels for retailers. Pierre Cardin is regarded as a pioneer of licensing: according to the online archive The Lingerie Museum, the name appeared on more than 2,000 products by the end of the 1970s, with over 500 licences in the early 1980s.
