With autumn, ski season has begun at the luxury houses. On October 14 Chanel brought its Coco Neige 2026/27 collection to boutiques, an annual winter wardrobe for slopes and city under artistic director Matthieu Blazy. It pairs retro ski suits – such as a striped red one-piece – with check tweeds and penguin and polar bear motifs; one bag is shaped like a penguin. The campaign was photographed by Julien Martinez Leclerc.

Headwear goes wintry too: Chanel's collection includes a shearling trapper chapka, an alpaca-and-silk beanie and acetate shield sunglasses. For its LV Ski 2026 line, Louis Vuitton features the LV360 goggles with magnetic, interchangeable lenses. The brand also shows a wooden Damier snowboard and winter boots with a shearling cuff.

The bags stand out most: the 'LV Lodge' is a miniature wooden chalet with a Monogram canvas door, and the 'Ice Breaker' a black-and-white shearling bag shaped like an animal head. Even dogs are catered for: the collection includes a Monogram denim bandana, worn by a dog in the presentation. Louis Vuitton presents the line on its YouTube channel with a short film set in alpine landscapes.
