Inter Milan is expected to be without captain Lautaro Martínez until after the international break. Tests showed a muscle problem in the hamstring of his left thigh, the club said. The Argentine scored twice in the 4-3 Champions League home loss to Club Brugge. According to Sky Sport Italia, he will miss games including Bologna, Shakhtar Donetsk and the Milan derby on Oct. 31.
“I'm not a doctor,” coach Cristian Chivu said, adding that a return after the international break was being discussed. He said he was “the first one responsible” for the loss to Brugge. “We have to react without feeling sorry for ourselves,” the Romanian said.
Inter plays at Bologna on Saturday (1600 GMT) at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara. Inter has conceded eight goals in six Serie A games and six in two Champions League matches.
