A watch without hands: at Bell & Ross, a spaceplane shows the minutes

The BR-03 Space Mission shows the hours with the Moon on a rotating Earth disc and the minutes with a Dassault Aviation spaceplane. A red dot stands for Mars.

Bell & Ross presented the BR-03 Space Mission on October 16, a watch without conventional hands. Above a black aventurine dial that sparkles like a starry sky, a transparent disc printed with Earth and the Moon rotates; the Moon indicates the hour. The minutes are marked by a small spacecraft modelled on the Vortex, a reusable spaceplane concept by French aircraft maker Dassault Aviation.

A small red dot on the dial represents Mars. The press release calls it 'perhaps the next stage in the journey of the Vortex and Humanity'. The watch follows the 2025 BR-03 Astro. The square case in micro-blasted black ceramic measures 41 millimetres, is 10.6 millimetres thick and water-resistant to 100 metres.

Inside is the automatic BR-CAL.325 calibre, based on the Sellita SW330, with a 54-hour power reserve; it displays hours and minutes only. It comes with a black rubber strap and a fabric strap. The Space Mission is limited to 999 pieces and, according to Uhren-Nerd, deliveries are due to start in mid-November.
