Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez is already looking beyond October 31. “I want to fight quick, like in February, because I have 2 fights left in Riyadh,” the Mexican told The Ring, as reported by El Diario NY. He wants to fight in Riyadh now “and then the next one in February”.
First comes the super middleweight clash with WBC world champion Christian Mbilli; Boxing Insider reports the ring walk is set for 3 a.m. local time, with DAZN showing the event on pay-per-view. Canelo has not fought since his decision loss to Terence Crawford in September 2025.
Canelo attributed the postponement from the original date of September 12 to family matters, according to Boxing Insider: “Because I wasn't ready.” In the video, he talks to The Ring about a Crawford rematch and the Mbilli fight.
