Shots were fired at a café in Berlin's Neukölln district on Friday morning, police said. A police spokeswoman said the incident happened shortly before 6 a.m. and that several shots were fired. No one was injured, according to current information. Nothing is yet known about the motive or the perpetrators.
The same café was shot at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday. A resident called police at the time. Officers found bullet holes in the building's facade and the shop window, and a black car carrying several people reportedly sped away shortly afterward.
The investigation has been taken over by the State Criminal Police Office's special unit "Ferrum," which handles organized crime and extortion. The roughly 100 detectives have been tackling violent groups and gun crime for almost a year, and investigators have recorded more shootings in the city for months.
