Kim Kardashian plays herself in ad for Skims delivery via DoorDash

In a 70-second film, a DoorDash delivery rescues a Skims photo shoot. The campaign accompanies the partnership the two companies announced in September.

Skims, the brand founded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede in 2019, has released a joint commercial with delivery platform DoorDash. The 1:10-minute film by agency OBB, directed by Daniel Sachon, casts Kardashian as herself: on a commercial set, she orders Skims items via DoorDash to get a stalled shoot back on track. On October 12 she teased the spot on Instagram with the word “tomorrow”, HOLR Magazine reported.

“We took this authentic moment and were able to build the entire DoorDash x Skims campaign around it,” said OBB creative director Simone Spira; the idea came from an earlier experience working with Kardashian. The partnership was announced in September: DoorDash is Skims' first on-demand delivery partner. More than 23,000 styles from its US stores are available through the platform, typically delivered in under an hour, according to DoorDash.

At launch the service covered 17 stores in 11 states and Washington, D.C., with nine more planned, Retail Customer Experience reported. DoorDash chief revenue officer Shanna Prevé said: “DoorDash was built on one idea: you should be able to get everything you need in your neighborhood, right now.” Skims has also been expanding internationally in 2026, most recently to Spain and India.
