Rick Owens presented his spring/summer 2027 womenswear collection in Paris on 1 October, on a steeply angled runway at the Palais de Tokyo. Like his menswear show in June, the collection is titled “Stone”. Owens himself described it to AnOther Magazine as “Sumptuous, and industrially austere”.

Many of the fabrics have technical origins: a heavy duchesse satin was made from nylon webbing of the kind used in industry, produced by a supplier in Como. According to Lampoon, the so-called millefoglie jackets use thousands of hand-cut circles of recycled nylon tulle – around 200 metres of fabric and roughly 45 hours of work per piece.

On the runway, pale tones gave way to burgundy and black: column-like raw-edged slip dresses, angular bustles, knotted collars and, for the finale, dresses in coiling tufted tulle. They were paired with crystal-embellished boots and sandals. The video of the show can be seen on Rick Owens' official YouTube channel.
