U.S. rock band Staind has released the single "Ghosts," its first new music since the 2023 album "Confessions Of The Fallen," which topped Billboard's Top Active Rock Albums chart. The song is out via Alchemy Recordings/BMG and was produced by Erik Ron. According to the announcement, it heralds a lot more new music from the band "very soon."
"We went down to Nashville for a writing trip with Erik," guitarist Mike Mushok said. "'Ghosts' ended up being a very dynamic song." Singer Aaron Lewis added: "It's a little different, and it surprised all of us. It's definitely Staind." The lineup is completed by bassist Johnny April and drummer Sal Giancarelli.
In 2027, the band will continue its Live Nation-produced 25th anniversary tour for the album "Break The Cycle" with a second leg: 27 cities with special guests Seether and Hoobastank, running from March 6 at SNHU Arena in Manchester to April 16 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland. Formed in 1995, the band has sold more than 15 million records. In 2026, its song "Warm Safe Place" went viral on TikTok and pushed Staind past 1 billion streams.
