German schlager singer Howard Carpendale has announced six open-air concerts for summer 2027. Under the banner "Erlebe den Sommer mit uns – Live 2027" ("Experience the summer with us"), the 80-year-old will perform with his band between July 4 and Aug. 29 at castles and festival stages, from Bad Arolsen to Regensburg, Emmendingen and Gedern, the Zeltfestival Ruhr in Bochum and Bad Kissingen. Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 16, at noon, according to ticket agency Eventim.
Carpendale drew a line under major tours with his farewell tour in 2026 but said he would keep playing individual concerts. "Standing on stage in summer has a very special magic for me," he said. "And that is exactly why I am now really looking forward to summer 2027." The singer will also play a residency at Frankfurt's Alte Oper in 2027: a fifth night on June 16 has been added to the four announced in April. Three concerts at Hamburg's CCH follow in November.
The South African-born singer is one of Germany's most successful schlager artists, having sold more than 65 million records over six decades, according to Eventim. His latest album, "Zeitlos," was released in February. The ticket page says the summer shows will take place on open-air stages in Germany and Austria, but only German dates have been published so far.
