Chris Billam-Smith has put himself forward as a possible opponent for Deontay Wilder. "If Opetaia was to pull out of the Wilder fight, I could fight Wilder," the Briton told Sky Sports. "Wilder, I've always said I wanted to fight him." According to Sky Sports, Opetaia is expected to move up to heavyweight and face Wilder on the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua undercard. The card takes place on December 11 in Cardiff.

Billam-Smith does not want to wait forever for Opetaia himself: "I'm not going to wait around for a year." His immediate focus is his fight with Cheavon Clarke on November 7. Dana White, who promotes Opetaia, told Sky Sports of the Australian: "The guy's willing to fight anybody."

The Cardiff undercard has not yet been officially confirmed.
