Bulgaria's government meets at 1 p.m. on Wednesday and, according to its preliminary agenda, is set to approve a draft agreement with Turkey on opening a new border crossing, Kapitan Andreevo–Kapikule–North, submitted by the interior minister. The foreign minister is proposing to open an embassy in Muscat, Oman. The transport minister wants Bulgarian Posts to be assigned a service of general economic interest: paying pensions at post offices.
Ministers will also decide which administrations join the National Cybersecurity System, approve a draft amendment to the Access to Public Information Act and allocate extra funds to municipalities transporting Ukrainian children under temporary protection to school from Sept. 15, 2026, to June 30, 2027. State investment loans and guarantees for 2027 are also on the agenda.
