A delegation of Bulgaria's DPS party met Patryk Jaki, co-chair of the European Conservatives and Reformists group, in Brussels. It included deputy floor leader Iskra Mihaylova, deputy party chair Radoslav Revanski, Central Operational Bureau members Atidzhe Veli and Nedzhmi Ali, and Stanislav Anastasov, the party chair's adviser on international affairs, accompanied by MEPs Tamer Kabilov and Elena Yoncheva. The two sides discussed the EU's next multiannual budget and agreed it should fund local authorities.

According to a DPS statement, the party briefed its partners on alleged abuse of power, political interference in law-enforcement work and human rights violations by Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev and his political cabinet. Jaki expressed full support, the DPS said. The party plans to present the specific cases to the European Parliament's LIBE committee. No response from Demerdzhiev was reported.
