Roumen Hristov, deputy chairman of the center-right UDF, urged voters on Facebook to back the Andrey Gyurov–Georgi Kandev ticket in Sunday's run-off to defend "a European, democratic Bulgaria." He said the alternative meant a return to Moscow, authoritarian rule, managerial ineptitude and economic chaos. A day earlier, the UDF said it would hear either ticket if approached, but only its National Council could decide on an endorsement.

DSB leader Radan Kanev responded to Kostadin Kostadinov's statement that Vazrazhdane would not back Gyurov in the run-off. Kanev called an alleged agreement between Prime Minister Rumen Radev and Kostadinov on Facebook a major warning sign for Bulgarians who want a strong, democratic and European country. The BTA report contained no response from Radev or Kostadinov.

Yes, Bulgaria co-leader Ivaylo Mirchev also accused Kostadinov of backing Iotova, BTA reported, whose bid is supported by Radev's Progressive Bulgaria party.
