US distributor Well Go USA has released a new trailer for 'Paradise Lost', the new film from South Korean director Yeon Sang-ho ('Train to Busan'). Kim Hyun-joo plays Ryu So-young, whose young son Sun-woo disappeared when a bus taking children to summer camp vanished.
Nine years later, Sun-woo stands before her as a grown man she no longer knows, played by Bae Hyeon-seong. But the mother has long been living with a virtual version of the child that she sees through augmented-reality technology, and must choose between the two. Yeon co-wrote the screenplay with Ryu Yong-jae.
The science-fiction psychological thriller premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and opened in South Korean cinemas in October. It opens in the US on 6 November; no German release date has been announced.
