Real Madrid beat Sevilla 4-1 in LaLiga on Sunday. Arda Güler opened the scoring with a curling shot in the 30th minute, Kylian Mbappé added a second from Jude Bellingham’s backheel in the 37th and converted a penalty in the 64th. After substitute Manu Bueno pulled one back, Yan Diomandé completed the scoring in the 84th. Vinícius Júnior was suspended.
According to FotMob, the 19-year-old Diomandé is the first Real player under 20 this century to score and assist in the same LaLiga game. Coach José Mourinho called it “a beautiful victory,” Goal reported: “We controlled it from the first to the last minute and scored quality goals.”
Real are third with 21 points, behind Barcelona (27) and Atlético (22). They host RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday before facing Barcelona in El Clásico next Sunday.
