AC Milan beat Atalanta 3-2 in Serie A on Sunday. Gonçalo Ramos scored from the penalty spot, Adrien Rabiot netted his fourth goal of the season and then set up Mario Gila, who headed in his first goal for Milan to make it 3-0. Ramos later missed a second penalty, saved by Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

Maurizio Sarri’s visitors pulled within 3-2 through substitute Gianluca Gaetano and Nikola Krstović. Late on, Mike Maignan made a strong save from Davide Zappacosta to deny an equalizer. “The result is the most important thing,” Milan coach Rúben Amorim told Sky Sport Italia, but he admitted: “In difficult moments, we are really struggling a lot.”

Milan are fourth with 15 points behind Inter, Lazio (19 each) and Roma (17). Atalanta are 10th with nine points.
