“The punch resistance of AJ is lower than it's ever been,” Shawn Porter told talkSPORT, as quoted by The Ring. “I think the older you get, it's harder to heal.” The two-time welterweight world champion compared the punishment a heavyweight absorbs over the years to car crashes: even wins leave dents.
For 11 December in Cardiff, Porter has Tyson Fury ahead. He does not expect Fury to hunt the knockout, though he does not rule out a stoppage: “I don't see Tyson Fury putting AJ down.”
On 5 July, Joshua was dropped twice in the first round by Kristian Prenga before stopping him in round two. Netflix will show the Fury fight at the Principality Stadium live.
