Lacoste presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection on 4 October, during Paris Fashion Week, in the Roland-Garros tennis stadium. According to Lacoste, the setting was the Philippe-Chatrier centre court: avalanches of red clay filled the arena and the runway traced a loop across the clay courts. The title “Dress Code: No White Required” plays on tennis's strict all-white dress code.
According to Hypebae, creative director Pelagia Kolotouros opened with all-white classic sports looks before moving to layering, outerwear and accessories; the magazine names tennis greats Suzanne Lenglen and René Lacoste as references. The brand says the palette draws on sun-baked clay and mineral earth tones, accented with silver, acid yellow and cobalt blue. Cottons are garment-dyed, tropical wools deconstructed and jersey perforated.
Among the accessories, Hypebae singled out the ACE-T1 shoe, which combines a wedge heel shaped like a tennis ball with a lace-up pump. A draped bag goes back, Lacoste says, to a 1984 Irving Penn photograph of the polo shirt. “I think sport is sexy,” Kolotouros told Vogue, as quoted by Courtside Coffee.
