Charles De Ketelaere put Atalanta ahead shortly before halftime at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Alieu Njie, in the 53rd minute, and João Mário turned the game around after the break before Nicola Zalewski equalized in the 74th. Fiorentina had 26 shots but only four on target, FootItalia reported.
Fiorentina are winless in five games in all competitions and have one league win this season. They are level on points and goal difference with 19th-place Parma. Maurizio Sarri's Atalanta are 12th with 11 points and without a win in four games.
"The problem is the team's attitude, we can't concede two goals like that," Vanoli said, according to TuttoMercatoWeb. Sarri said: "Given the moment we're going through, it's a lot." Fiorentina visit Sassuolo on Monday, when Atalanta host Parma.
