Independent Swiss brand Renaud Tixier, the partnership of watchmakers Dominique Renaud and Julien Tixier, has unveiled a skeletonised version of its “Monday” watch. The original appeared in 2024. The new edition comes in blue and in green, each limited to 15 pieces. The 18-carat white gold case measures 40.8 millimetres.
The focus is the automatic calibre RVI2025: all 262 components are visible, the movement has 238 inward angles and is hand-finished in the brand's workshops in Tolochenaz, between Geneva and Lausanne. A bridge over the barrel ratchet is engraved and filled with grand feu enamel in each edition's colour. At the heart of the patented winding system is a platinum micro-rotor incorporating a flywheel coupled to a propulsion spring.
The movement beats at 2.5 hertz and offers at least 72 hours of power reserve. The watch is worn on a hand-stitched alligator strap with a white gold pin buckle. Renaud Tixier plans seven limited models in total, each linked to a day of the week and its own technical innovation.
