Kim Kardashian opened the Halloween season early. On 20 October she posted pictures on Instagram captioned “Halloween 2026” in which she poses as her 13-year-old daughter North West: a long turquoise-blue wig, fake piercings on her face and hands, long decorated nails, a black graphic tee with striped sleeves, spiked cuffs, a skull pendant chain and black grills. Kris Jenner commented: “This is so fun!!!!!”, while Khloé Kardashian wrote: “Twins!!!!!!”.

In New York, the New York Restoration Project held its costume gala “Hulaween on Horror Reef: Monsters of the Deep” at The Glasshouse on 23 October. Founder Bette Midler wore a shimmering, sea-creature-inspired dress and a cape lined with seashells. Her daughter Sophie von Haselberg came in a gold netted look studded with small pieces of rubbish, a comment on ocean pollution. On Instagram Midler called the evening “the best costume party of the year”.

Heidi Klum, whose party traditionally takes place on 31 October, posted a close-up of her costume on 24 October: colourful prosthetic pieces arranged like a coral reef, some resembling a brain. Her caption read: “One week to go….#HeidiHalloween”.
