Netflix has released the official trailer for 'Avedon', Ron Howard's documentary about US photographer Richard Avedon. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, then screened at Telluride, and will be available on Netflix from 11 November.
Howard traces Avedon's six-decade career, which shaped fashion, portrait and art photography. The team had access to Avedon's personal archive, including unpublished photographs and behind-the-scenes footage. Interviewees include his son John Avedon, designer Calvin Klein, gallerist Larry Gagosian, as well as Isabella Rossellini, Twiggy and Lauren Hutton.
The producers are Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Dallas Brennan Rexer, Sara Bernstein, Christopher St. John and Justin Wilkes; Imagine Documentaries and Fifth Season made the film in association with the Richard Avedon Foundation. It runs 1 hour and 44 minutes.
