Marvel released a new short teaser for 'Avengers: Doomsday' on 25 October. It carries the tagline 'Stand together' and ends with the release date. Two days earlier, Marvel had shown a preview with new footage during Game 1 of the World Series between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays. It opens with the Fantastic Four from their parallel world throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game, intercut with reactions from real baseball players.
It also features a conversation between Thor and Steve Rogers about Rogers being able to wield Thor's hammer Mjolnir, and a moment in which Ant-Man accidentally calls Rogers 'Cap' – even though Sam Wilson is now Captain America. Robert Downey Jr. is heard and seen as Doctor Doom.
Anthony and Joe Russo ('Avengers: Endgame') direct again. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sandra Hüller also has a cameo; Marvel has not commented on her role. The film opens in Germany on 16 December and in the US on 18 December 2026.
