Saxon manufacture A. Lange & Söhne is marking an anniversary: the Datograph Perpetual, introduced in 2006, turns 20. For the occasion it has released reference 410.136E, limited to 50 pieces. The 950 platinum case measures 41 millimetres across and 13.5 millimetres in height.

The hour markers are new: eleven baguette-cut diamonds totalling about 0.13 carats sit on the black dial, with the 4 and 8 o'clock positions left empty. According to Revolution, it is the first time this model has carried diamond markers. It comes on a five-row platinum bracelet with a folding clasp; a platinum bracelet was already an option on the original, discontinued in 2011.

Inside is the hand-wound calibre L952.1 with flyback chronograph, perpetual calendar and outsize date. It has 556 components, 223 of them for the calendar, beats at 2.5 hertz and offers a 36-hour power reserve. The price is available only on request.
