Olympique Marseille almost squandered a 4-0 lead against Le Havre in the eighth round of Ligue 1 before winning 4-3 on Sunday. Egan-Riley (5th minute), Weah (33rd), Igor Paixão (50th) and Abdelli (55th) appeared to have put the game away. Maja then pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 77th minute, and N'Diaye (86th) and Maja again (89th) set up a tense finish.
Despite a third straight league win, coach Bruno Genesio was furious. "I am very disappointed with the young players who came on," he told But! Football Club, adding that he was "very, very angry." He was referring to Kamissoko and Abdallah. "They have the ambition to be starters at Marseille," Genesio said. "The least they can do is show humility in their attitude."
Marseille, 17th a month ago, are now eighth and share the league's best attack with Rennes on 18 goals. Toulouse are next.
