Bayern Munich face open questions ahead of Wednesday's German Cup second-round match against second-division Magdeburg (8:45 p.m.). Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer missed the 3-1 win at Freiburg with a foot problem and was replaced by Jonas Urbig. "I'm not quite sure. He had a slight aggravation in his foot," said assistant coach Aaron Danks, who led the team in Freiburg. Sporting director Max Eberl said: "Whether it will be enough for Wednesday or for Dortmund, we will see."

On head coach Vincent Kompany, who is sidelined after collapsing, Danks said: "The tests are still ongoing. The signs are really positive." Eberl stressed: "There is no diagnosis yet. Nothing final, at least." He dedicated the Freiburg win to the coach: "The win is for Vinnie."

Joshua Kimmich also missed the Freiburg game because of a death in the family. After the cup match, Bayern host second-place Borussia Dortmund, level on points, on Saturday (6:30 p.m.).
