Jakarta Fashion Week 2027 opened on Monday. Until 1 November, 111 brands and designers are presenting their work at City Hall in Pondok Indah Mall 3 in the south of the city. The motto is “City of New Lights”. Creative director Rd. Andandika Surasetja stresses that the focus is on a broader spirit rather than a single theme.

The first day featured the final of a competition for menswear and accessories designers and a signature show. On 28 October the textile house BINHouse presents its collection “Dari Hati ke Tangan” (“From the Heart to the Hands”). Together with Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism, the initiative “Two Expressions of Southeast Asian Heritage” is devoted to the region's weaving and craft traditions.

On the closing day, 1 November, a Southeast Asian fashion parade will feature GINLEE from Singapore, Renz Reyes from the Philippines and TANDT from Thailand, alongside an Australia–Indonesia creative exchange. The “Dewi Fashion Knights” series moves to the National Museum this year and marks 35 years of Dewi magazine. The fashion week is chaired by Svida Alisjahbana.
