Berlin commuters face weekend disruption as no trains will run on the Ringbahn circle line (S41 and S42) or the S46 between Suedkreuz and Westend from 9:45 p.m. Friday until 1:30 a.m. Monday. The closure is due to bridge and cable work. The section between Halensee and Westend has already been closed since Thursday morning.
Accessible replacement buses are running between Suedkreuz, Halensee and Westend, and passengers are advised to allow extra time.
Public transport operator BVG has also suspended parts of tram lines M1, M2 and 12 until Dec. 21 because of track and road works on Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse, Kastanienallee and Rosenthaler Strasse. Replacement buses are in service.
