The Administrative Court in Varna has opened new proceedings in the “Baba Alino” case. As BNT reported, a property owner in the Alen Mak area is challenging a Varna municipality order halting construction of five single-storey houses. He is asking for the temporary disconnection of electricity and water to be suspended immediately pending a final ruling. He argues that the five houses have been fully completed since December 2024, so there is no construction left to stop.
On the same day, the court heard one of 12 cases challenging orders by the mayor of Varna to demolish 12 multi-family residential buildings with more than 40 apartments in the Koru Chair area of the Chaika resort. The judges ordered a new technical expert assessment and adjourned the hearing to 5 November.
