Premier League side Sunderland saw their winning run in the Europa League end on Thursday as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Polish side Lech Poznan. Regis Le Bris's team remain unbeaten in the league phase after two opening wins.

Sunderland led after just 78 seconds when Lech goalkeeper Mateusz Lis misplaced a pass out from the back, Nilson Angulo crossed and Tymur Tutierov headed in. Substitute Leo Bengtsson equalised in the 70th minute after the visitors failed to clear a corner.

The two sides combined for 41 shots and Sunderland also hit the post, but neither team could find a winner in the closing stages.
