Zach Bryan released the EP 'Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs' in mid-October on Belting Bronco/Warner. Bryan produced the eight songs with Eddie Spear and Jamie McLaughlin. Lana Del Rey sings on 'Lies', which she co-wrote with him, and Evan Felker of Turnpike Troubadours appears on 'Plainsman'. A stadium tour of North America and Australia is set to follow in 2027.
The Saving Country Music critic gives it 8 out of 10. Some songs feel unfinished and the production is sloppy in places, but the raw, honest energy carries the record. He rates 'Backwards' as the best-written song and also praises the protest song 'Robot Killed The Working Man' and likely hit 'Lodi When'; on 'Plainsman' Bryan's voice gives out towards the end. His verdict: 'It's very much a Zach Bryan record, to the chagrin of his critics, and to the delight of his fans.'
On the duet with Lana Del Rey, Tom Breihan wrote at Stereogum: 'Bryan really pushed himself vocally on this one, and he and Del Rey sound really, really good together.' The video presents 'Lies' as official audio on Bryan's YouTube channel.
