Barcelona will be without Dani Olmo for the Clásico against Real Madrid. The club said on Wednesday that medical tests had confirmed an injury to his left adductor muscle and that he is expected to be out for about a month. The midfielder was hurt in a collision with an opponent in the first half of Tuesday's 4-2 Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain and was replaced by Fermín López.
Olmo will miss Sunday's La Liga game against Real Madrid at Spotify Camp Nou on Oct. 25. According to ESPN, he will also miss league games against Alavés and Atlético Madrid and the Champions League match against Aston Villa. It is another setback for coach Hansi Flick, whose squad was already stretched ahead of the high-profile game.
Real Madrid will also be weakened, with Vinícius Júnior suspended for the match. Spanish authorities have classified the game as high-risk, and police will step up their presence before, during and after the match. Barcelona currently lead Real by six points in La Liga.
