Sony has announced the price and release date of its new PS5 headset, Pulse. The wireless headset goes on sale on 19 November – the same day as GTA 6 – for $99.99, €99.99 or £89.99. Pre-orders open on 29 October at 10am via PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. It comes in White and Midnight Black.
The headset succeeds the Pulse Elite and uses larger planar magnetic drivers, which Sony says deliver fuller, deeper bass. It connects to PS5 and PlayStation Portal via PlayStation Link and to other devices via Bluetooth, while the built-in microphone uses AI to filter out background noise.
The higher-end Pulse Edge, with a detachable boom mic, active noise cancellation and drivers with eight magnets instead of four, will not follow until 2027. Sony has not yet given a price for it; the company first presented both headsets on the PlayStation Blog in mid-September.
