Chinese robot maker Unitree on Wednesday unveiled the H2-X humanoid robot, nicknamed "Kung Fu Legend Guardian". It is built on the H2 platform: 182 centimetres tall, 70 kilograms, 31 degrees of freedom. According to Unitree, the H2-X offers service and security protection capabilities, with a maximum runtime of about eight hours.
In the official launch video on Unitree's channel, the robot performs kung fu moves, platform jumps and powerful poses. Because of the force the robot can generate, safety warnings advise people to keep a safe distance.
Unitree did not initially give a price or launch date for the H2-X. The video does not show whether the movements are autonomous, teleoperated or pre-programmed.
