Prime Minister Rumen Radev received a delegation of the Eastern Committee of German Industry at the Council of Ministers in Sofia on Wednesday. German investment is a driver of Bulgaria's industrial development and brings successful business models into the country, he said, according to BNT. He said the doors were wide open to German companies. Radev named robotics, mechatronics and electronics as fields for joint projects.

Radev pointed to the stability he said his government guaranteed and to the country's location at a crossroads of energy, digital and transport corridors. “Bulgaria cannot be bypassed when we talk about connectivity between Europe and Asia and between Europe and the Middle East,” he said. He also highlighted a balanced energy mix, growing storage capacity and well-trained IT specialists.

The government is easing administrative procedures and speeding up the work of institutions, Radev said. He also pointed to a new approach to public-private partnerships intended to make infrastructure projects faster and more transparent. No figures for planned investments were given.
