On Tuesday, Cartier presented the second chapter of its 'Le Chœur des Pierres' high jewellery collection at the Kyoto National Museum. Guests included Blackpink singer Jisoo and Oscar-winning director Sofia Coppola, whom the South China Morning Post interviewed at the event.

Large coloured stones take centre stage. According to Harper's Bazaar Thailand, the 'Panthère Tunya' necklace carries a 48.12-carat Zambian emerald cabochon above a cascade of emerald beads, complemented by nine yellow diamonds totalling 10.91 carats. The 'Stellara' necklace is built around a 41.01-carat Ceylon sapphire, and the 'Drosera' earrings combine 18 rubies totalling 28.44 carats.

Other pieces include the three-strand 'Tipaza' necklace with two briolette diamonds and ruby beads, and the 'Patellia' earrings with two brown diamonds set pavilion-outward. The 'Undara' earrings wrap the ear in three parts. Brand ambassador Anna Sawai wears several of the pieces in photographs of the collection.
