Hermès is expanding its H08 line, introduced in 2021, with two versions called Bleu de Malte and Blanc Chantilly. The cushion-shaped case measures 39 by 39 millimetres and is made of braided glass-fibre composite coated with aluminium, with a ceramic bezel. According to Hodinkee, Hermès has dropped the slate dust used in earlier glass-fibre cases, giving a lighter, brighter finish.
The blue version has a rhodium-plated, sandblasted dial with a blue minute track; the white one has a lacquered white dial with a grey minute track. Both feature applied Arabic numerals and Hermès' signature orange details. Inside is the automatic calibre H1837, made by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, with a 50-hour power reserve.
The watches are water-resistant to 100 metres, come on an integrated rubber strap and are not limited; they are sold exclusively through Hermès. A making-of video on the H08 can be seen on Hermès' YouTube channel.
