Glashütte Original and the Meissen porcelain manufactory have unveiled their second joint watch, the Senator Meissen 'Cherry Blossom'. In 2025 the two Saxon houses released three limited models with porcelain dials. Meissen is regarded as Europe's oldest porcelain manufacturer, dating back to 1710.

The motif is the Japanese jugatsu-zakura, a cherry blossom that flowers outside the usual spring season. Painters in Meissen apply the white and pink blossoms layer by layer with fine brushes, firing the dial at around 900 degrees Celsius after each layer. There are no hour markers or numerals, only the lettering and Meissen's crossed swords.

The red gold case measures 40 millimetres across and 10.2 millimetres thick, housing the automatic calibre 36-16 with up to 100 hours of power reserve. A film on the first Senator Meissen collection can be seen on Glashütte Original's YouTube channel.
