Anthropic generated revenue of 16.8 billion dollars in the third quarter of 2026, according to a report in the Financial Times. The company reportedly presented the figures at a meeting with prospective investors. Compared with the previous quarter's 11.6 billion dollars, that is an increase of around 45 per cent; in the first quarter revenue was 4.8 billion dollars, according to the Wall Street Journal.

According to the report, the Claude developer was profitable on an adjusted basis and generated positive cash flow. For every dollar it spent on computing power, it took in around 1.70 dollars in revenue. Growth was slower than at the start of the year, however. The reports do not make clear exactly how revenue and profit are defined.

Anthropic is preparing a stock market listing that, according to media reports, could take place in November. In May the company was valued at 965 billion dollars in a 65-billion-dollar funding round.
