Hamburger SV host VfB Stuttgart at the Volksparkstadion on Saturday (3:30 p.m. CEST, Sky). After five matchdays both teams have six points: Stuttgart are 11th (8-9 goal record) and Hamburg 12th (5-15). Hamburg have won their last two games, while Stuttgart won 3-0 at Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League in midweek.
Hamburg coach Merlin Polzin must plan without captain Nicolai Remberg, who tore a cruciate ligament in the 3-2 win at Hoffenheim. "We can't replace Rambo one-for-one," Polzin said. Kofi Amoako is among the possible replacements.
Polzin described the opponent as "an absolute top-top-top team in the Bundesliga and a deserving Champions League participant," according to feverpitch. "It will be a heated and hard-fought duel in which we will need every single one of us," the Hamburg coach added.
