More than 60 people were killed within 24 hours in fighting around the Yemeni city of Taiz, which is besieged by Houthi forces, according to military sources on both sides cited by CBS News on Monday. Air strikes on the capital Sanaa, which the Houthis blamed on Saudi Arabia, killed one person and injured 12. The Saudi-led coalition said it had struck 136 Houthi targets so far, according to Iran International.

The Houthis, for their part, said they had targeted Dammam airport and two Saudi Aramco facilities; Saudi Arabia did not confirm those attacks. The coalition said it had shot down two ballistic missiles fired towards Khamis Mushait. US President Donald Trump is considering joining the Saudi strikes; so far the United States has provided only intelligence.
